Hi! We’re excited to let you know about some of the latest updates we’ve made to Sirvoy. These adjustments and improvements will make it much easier to manage your property and make your guests smile. Let’s look at what’s changed.
New channel notifications
We’ve introduced new details to email alerts for new or changed reservations. This information is designed to help you manage reservations more efficiently and resolve any issues quickly, thereby improving customer satisfaction. Here’s what’s included:
- New channel reservation details: Notifications regarding new or changed reservations will cover new details: room type booked, specific room, reservation status (whether new, changed or canceled), check-in and check-out dates, prices and customer reviews.
- New alerts: In the rare case where there is a problem, such as overbooking, we have received a new batch of email alerts to notify you and direct you to a solution.
Additionally, booking notifications now use the language you chose in your location settings.
Easier channel mapping
We’ve improved the channel mapping page to make it more user-friendly, with new updates for Booking.com, Hostelworld and Bookvisit – and more on the way! It is now easier to spot any discrepancies between your Sirvoy settings and those of your booking channels.
If you’re using Sirvoy Starter and considering more bookings on platforms like Booking.com or Expedia, upgrade to Sirvoy PRO to unlock these connections.
Additionally, you’ll find a new “Set Category Automatically” toggle on the mapping page for each channel (except iCal). This feature is great for automatically sending personalized email templates based on category. Additionally, you have the option to keep the category selection hidden on your booking engine, but set it automatically behind the scenes, ensuring your communication always matches the booking type.
Stripe and Stripe terminal improvements
Stripe is our top choice for managing payments, and for good reason. It is ideal for online payments with Stripe Checkout and in-person transactions with Stripe Terminal. Let’s talk about how our Stripe integration has gotten even better recently:
- Enhanced Credit Card Storage: Store customers’ credit cards on your Stripe terminal, making it easy to bill them for any additional purchases they make.
- Improved log history: We’ve strengthened the booking log to show when cards are transferred from Sirvoy Vault to Stripe and when cards are added from channels or directly from the booking engine.
- Personalized VAT rates: You can now set individual “default” VAT rates for room types, extras and custom invoice lines.
- Optimized Stripe Terminal payments: Enjoy fast transactions like never before.
More customization of the booking engine
Now it’s even easier for your guests to tell you exactly what they need by adding more space for comments in the booking form. You can choose to make this comment box optional, required, or hide it completely. Just go to Settings -> Booking Engine -> Create custom fields to put it in place.
SCB reports on the Statistics page
Our integrated Statistics Sweden (SCB) reports are now even more comprehensive, with the addition of the “reason for stay” functionality. Now you or your guests can specify the reason for each stay, which will be reflected in SCB reports.
In addition to this, we have introduced a useful filter on the Statistics page, allowing you to omit certain room types, such as those for staff or asylum seekers, from SCB reports. The names of these excluded room types are clearly displayed in the SCB pop-up window.
